Established in 1963, the Department of Accounting Information is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in accounting theory and practice necessary for medium- and high- level accounting positions and career advancement. We have over 1,300 students, including several international students. We offer junior college, undergraduate and graduate courses across accounting, taxation, information systems, law and other specialist management subject areas. Within the Accounting Information major, there is an opportunity to explore the various career opportunities within the broad field of accounting: Public Accounting, Assurance and Tax Services, Financial Services and Corporate Accounting, and Information Systems. In addition to the undergraduate program, the Master program offers an outstanding opportunity to prepare graduate students for a career in today’s demanding field of accounting. Our unique program recognizes the impact of technology on business processes and the value chain while paying respect to the time honored usefulness of accounting information. Although preparation for professional examinations is not a primary objective, undergraduates will have the background to take professional examinations in accounting.
